The Yoruba of Nigeria say, “The head wrap is only good when it fits.” This work pursues the making of headdresses that fit the collective ori (head of destiny) of the members of the African Diaspora. “Her inventive use of forms and bright colors make this work a strong statement of cultural identity.”
